The map below charts population changes of African Americans in the United States during the Great Migration. Primarily, the migration saw southern African Americans leaving the south and trekking to northern cities. Secondly, we can see they were moving to urban centers within the south, changes which appear smaller than those of their northern counterparts, but are an important part of the complete narrative.
This final map, while less interesting, is more personal and notes some of the important locations in my life. Where I was born, where I grew up, and where I now attend University. There's not much to analyze here, other than the realization that I've strayed very little from where I was born and raised. I may edit this map later to include places I have visited to add some more intrigue.
